Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: free events to celebrate 1 year of the Olympics

At the end of August, Paris celebrates a special anniversary: the one-year anniversary of the 2024 Paralympic Games! Yes, a year already, a year since the whole world has been watching Paris with intensity, a year since those thrilling competitions, those extraordinary medals, and those magical moments that will remain engraved in the hearts of Parisians.

So it's time for a few festive days to commemorate these unforgettable Games! The City of Paris is organizing special events from August 28 to 31, 2025, from 1pm to 7pm. Join us on the Hôtel de Ville forecourt for games and introductions to Paralympic sports.

During these festive days, a number of sporting events are planned, including an introduction to the " disciplines in which France shone last year...". It's time to try your hand at cecifoot, boccia or even sitting volleyball! Here's the program of events to try out:

• Wheelchair basketball, with instructors from the City of Paris and the Paris Université Club
• Cecifoot, with instructors from the Fédération Française Handisport
• Sitting volleyball, with instructors from the French Volleyball Federation
• Boccia, with instructors from the Comité Départemental Handisport de Paris.
• The"ceci course", to be tested in parallel (blindfolded course between blocks). This activity will be supervised by the Paris Université Club.

A cecifoot pitch is coming to the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville this summer, with introductory courses.
One year after the 2024 Olympic Games, Paris remains a party! To celebrate the 1st anniversary of the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games, and as part of Paris Plage, events are planned to mark the occasion.
