Les Arènes Lyriques 2026: a classical music festival perched on Montmartre Hill

Craving classical music and opera this summer 2026? The Arènes Lyriques festival, now in its 6th edition, takes place in Montmartre from July 22 to August 15, 2026, and is set to enchant you! Take your seat in the hidden Arènes de Montmartre, a garden just a few minutes’ walk from the Sacré Cœur on Rue Chappe: get ready for a beautiful poetic evening, under the banner of music.

For the occasion, the young musicians and opera singers will sing and play under the garlands of lights in the Arènes de Montmartre, under a starry summer sky. New this year, the festival will also feature a special section for young audiences, with Les Arènes Lyriques des enfants, including afternoon concerts for children from leisure centers and hospitals in the Paris region.

This Arènes Lyriques ensemble presents a repertoire ranging from baroque to symphonic music, fromromantic opera to traditional Latin folk melodies. These concerts are quite spontaneous: the precise program is never known in advance and, the day after the concert, the audience receives an e-mail with details of the works performed the day before.

However, on the program of the Lyric Arenas this year, a few marquee pieces have already been announced: "Nessun dorma" by Giacomo Puccini, My Baby Just Cares for Me by Nina Simone...
