Regarded as one of Japan's biggest stars in music and on television, Tomohisa Yamashita is gearing up to reconnect with his Parisian fans this fall! The singer, who also acts, has announced a one-night concert at the Casino de Paris on Sunday, November 22, 2026. As you might expect, tickets are bound to fly. So a tip: don’t miss the on-sale opening scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
Nicknamed Yamapi, Tomohisa Yamashita launched his music career at age 10, joining Johnny's Entertainment, a company built to train young talents in dance and singing to form temporary or long-running groups. But it was his stint with the boy band NEWS, a Japanese pop group, that truly put him on the map. Created in 2003, the ensemble led by Tomohisa Yamashita would release a string of albums and a slew of hits, including "Kibou: Yell" and "Happy Birthday".
Tomohisa Yamashita ultimately leaves the boy band in 2011 to devote himself fully to his solo career, which he had kicked off a few years earlier with the single "Daite Señorita", moving more than 400,000 copies in its first week. Since 2011, Tomohisa Yamashita has released five studio solo albums, including "Supergood, Superbad", "YOU" in 2014, and "YAMA-P" in 2016.
Alongside music, the Japanese artist shines on both the small and the big screen, notably appearing in TV series ("5-ji Kara 9-ji Made: Watashi ni Koi Shita Obōsan", "Code Blue", "The Head"...) and in feature films ("Terra Formars", "The Man from Toronto"...).
This autumn, Tomohisa Yamashita lands at the Casino de Paris on November 22, 2026 as part of his tour "Dreaming", also stopping in Japan and Thailand.
