Legendary British band formed in London in the early 1980s, The Pogues is back at the forefront of Europe, following sold-out tours in the UK and North America. This time, the group that revolutionized Irish folk will take the Old Continent by storm, with shows in Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, and France as well. In Paris, the date to remember is Thursday, 26 November 2026 at the Olympia.
For this highly anticipated return, fans will be able to see the founding members James Fearnley, Jem Finer and Spider Stacy, joined for the occasion by guest vocalists and musicians who are sure to electrify Paris's Olympia as they perform several of their many hits.
Together, they will revisit iconic songs by the Pogues released in the 1980s, including tracks like "Fairytale of New York", "Dirty Old Town", "A Pair of Brown Eyes", "Rainy Night in Soho", and "If I Should Fall From Grace With God".
It's worth noting that The Pogues, famed for their high-energy punk-rock vibe and the use of traditional Irish instruments, have seen their lineup shift several times over the band’s career. In recent years, a number of the group's members have also passed away. Notably, guitarist Philip Chevron died on October 8, 2013, and bassist Darryl Hunt on August 8, 2022. Finally, singer Shane MacGowan left us on November 30, 2023.
This autumn, James Fearnley, Jem Finer et Spider Stacy, the original Pogues lineup, will bring the legend back to life on stage in a highly anticipated new tour. For a hearty dose of Irish folk, head to the Olympia on November 26. No doubt this evening will transport you right into the heart of Ireland’s signature festive atmosphere!
