The summer season is eagerly awaited by many live music lovers. At this time of year, Parisians and Ile-de-France residents take advantage of the opportunity to take a vitamin D cure and fine-tune their tan. Others prefer to take advantage of the month ofAugust to fill up on live music thanks to festivals organized all over Paris and the Ile-de-France region. While most of these musical events take place in July, August is still a great time to dance the night away to the sounds of numerous bands and artists, both French-speaking and international.
The proof is in the pudding with Rock en Seine. Held every year at the end of August, Rock en Seine is one of the must-attend musical events on the outskirts of Paris. Primarily a rock festival, in recent years the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud has opened up to other styles, such as electro and rap. Rock en Seine concerts are also being held over longer periods, with no less than 5 days of festivities expected in the Hauts-de-Seine region this year!
Other music festivals put a smile on the faces of Parisians and Ile-de-France residents every August, such as the Paris Jazz Festival and Classique au Vert, to be discovered every summer in the bucolic green space of the Parc Floral de Paris.
