As it does every year, this is the event that jazz enthusiasts and lovers eagerly await; I’m of course talking about the Jazz Festival at La Villette. Running from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, the festival features creators and innovators taking the stage at the Grande Halle of La Villette, the Philharmonie de Paris, and the Cité de la Musique to captivate and surprise audiences with a vibrant and contemporary musical style. Over the course of 10 days, jazz takes center stage, expressed in various forms and featuring many renowned guests.
This year, the Jazz à la Villette festival once again showcases the full spectrum of jazz, seamlessly blending genres such as hip-hop, Afrobeat, and electronic music. It offers a dynamic, living panorama of a constantly evolving musical landscape through a fresh, unique programming. What’s on the menu for the 2026 edition? Selah Sue, performing alongside The Gallands for the occasion. The Belgian artist and the musical project—featuring her father (Stéphane Galland) on drums and her son (Elvin Galland) on keyboards—will take over La Grande Halle at La Villette on Friday, September 4, 2026. Both Selah Sue and The Gallands will use this live performance to showcase their collaborative album, titled "Another Way."
Jazz à la Villette also announces the arrival of Snarky Puppy. The renowned American jazz fusion band, led by composer, producer, and bassist Michael League, will kick off the celebrations with two shows scheduled at La Villette's Grande Halle on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, 2026, alongside the Metropole Orkest.
Many more artists are set to join the lineup for the 25th edition of Jazz à la Villette. Stay tuned for updates as the full program is announced. As for ticket sales, they will kick off on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
It’s worth noting that Jazz à la Villette typically takes over several venues in the 19th arrondissement, including the Grande Halle of La Villette, the Philharmonie of Paris, and the Cité de la Musique.
