"Pour toi Céline" is the name of the tribute concert to Céline Dion and her legendary album "D'eux" broadcast in prime time on M6 this Friday, September 15, 2023. So, what's the program and who are the artists invited for the occasion? We tell you all about this special evening dedicated to the legendary Quebec artist, and which will continue with two documentaries!

From September 1 to 10, 2023, Paris La Défense Arena should have opened its doors to the immense Céline Dion for the Quebec artist's six Paris concerts. Unfortunately, due to the singer's health problems, her tour was cancelled, leaving her fans in total disarray.

On September 3, Quebec City's Agora hosted a tribute show to Céline Dion and her famous album"D'eux". Released on March 28, 1995, this is the best-selling French-language album in music history! Behind this opus, which was certified a diamond disc in France in 1995, is the talented Jean-Jacques Goldman. The French artist wrote and produced the album"D'Eux", which includes the hits " Pour que tu m'aimes encore ", " Je sais pas ", " Destin ", " Le ballet " and " J'irai où tu iras ", sung as a duet with the man who has been France's favorite singer for several years now.

To mark the 30th anniversary of this incredible and fruitful encounter between Céline Dion and Jean-Jacques Goldman, Quebec City in Canada has come up with a tribute concert. Called " Pour toi Céline ", it will be broadcast in prime time this Friday, September 15, 2023 from 9:10pm on M6.

The concert will feature a host of artists influenced by or friends of the Canadian star, including Patrick Fiori, Amir, Anggun, Chimène Badi, Isabelle Boulay, Corneille, Véronic DiCaire, Vincent Niclo, Mario Pelchat, Bruno Pelletier, Axelle Red, Anne Sila, Roch Voisine, Christophe Willem and Ycare! They're all having a field day, performing live versions of the songs that really made their mark on this hit opus. Other legendary songs from the singer's impressive career are also performed that evening.

To make this 55-minute show even more beautiful, the artists - reunited for the occasion in Quebec - are accompanied on stage by Céline Dion's historic team: her musical director, musicians and backing singers. Please note that Céline Dion and Jean-Jacques Goldman will not be performing on this special evening.

To cap off this wonderful evening, Céline Dion fans can continue the festivities with the broadcast, again on M6, of two documentaries:"L'énigme Céline Dion" at 11.10pm and"Céline Dion : l'histoire secrète de ses tubes" at 1am.

In the first, director Laurline Danguy des Déserts looks back at the enigmatic Céline Dion. " Her close friends and collaborators, as well as journalists who have met her, paint a portrait of a touching artist who was for a long time inseparable from her pygmalion René, but who now faces the limelight alone ", she says.

In the second documentary, entitled"Céline Dion : l'histoire secrète de ses tubes", director Ross Curran reveals meetings with the songwriters and producers who worked alongside the Quebec singer on three of her hits. They recount the story behind " Because You Loved Me " in 1996, "It's All Coming Back to Me Now " and her cover of " I Drove All Night ".
