ABOUT THE BRAVURA ENSEMBLE OF THE SPIRITO SINGERS

Spirito Singers is a young women's choir based in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. With singers aged 10 to 18 from more than 25 communities, Spirito inspires its singers to become leaders through music education, performance excellence and service to others.

The Bravura Ensemble is an elite group of 60 singers aged 14 to 18 who perform a complex repertoire of high-pitched voices in a variety of languages and styles. The ensemble tours annually and has performed at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral, Carnegie Hall and St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, and Chicago's Symphony Center and Civic Opera House. Bravura's most recent collaboration was with Chicago's Joffrey Ballet.

In addition to their own singing, many Bravura members act as mentors to Spirito's young singers, taking on leadership roles as a cappella coaches, conductors and arrangers for their own and other singers' repertoire.
