Classical music: The NOVO Quartet in free concert at Le Bicolore - Maison du Danemark

Maison du Danemark invites the NOVO QUARTET for a musical afternoon open to all, Sunday March 24, 2024. An opportunity to discover one of Denmark's most promising quartets during a free concert at Le Bicolore.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2018 at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the quartet comprises violinists Kaya Kato Møller and Nikolai Vasili Nedergaard, violist Daniel Śledziński and cellist Signe Ebstrup Bitsch. All young, the artists are currently studying at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna and the École Normale de Musique in Paris.

Their strong bond of friendship is reflected in their performances, characterized by a high degree of interaction and a deep connection with each other and with the music. The quartet recently won 1st prize and four special prizes at the 77th Geneva Competition,2nd prize at the Carl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition and1st prize at the Irene Steels-Wilsing Foundation International String Quartet Competition in Heidelberg. They are also part of the "Young Artistic Elite 2024-2026" career program of the Danish State Art Fund.

NOVO Quartet has performed throughout Denmark, China, the USA, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Greenland. Discover them at Bicolore - Maison du Danemark on March 24.
