Pink Martini in concert at Paris' Accor Arena in May 2025

Popularized in France thanks to their hit "Sympathique", the American band Pink Martini celebrates 30 years in the music business with a special concert on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Accor Arena in Paris!

Celebrating 30 years! And that's just what Pink Martini is planning to do. The famous American band, featuring the sublime voice of China Forbes, is announcing its return and a major concert in Paris in 2025, to celebrate its 30th birthday with you. Mark your calendars: Pink Martini's musical style, a blend of swing and elegance, will be in concert at theAccor Arena in Paris on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Tickets will be on sale on April 18 at 10am.

Pink Martini was founded in 1994 in Portland, Oregon, by pianist Thomas Lauderdale. Three years later, in 1997, the American band unveiled its first opus, entitled"Sympathique". Success was not long in coming, as the album stayed on the French Top charts for 29 weeks in 2000, reaching a very respectable number 17! Their secret? A skilful blend of jazz and Latin rhythms, China Forbes ' voice with its Anglo-Saxon accent, and a brass and percussion section.

And then, of course, there's THE hit on Pink Martini's debut album, " Sympathique ". Giving its name to the album, the song is also known by another title, " Je ne veux pas travailler" ("I don't want to work "). Used by a famous car brand for its advertising spot, the song really helped Pink Martini establish its reputation in France.

Since the success of"Sympathique", the American band has released a dozen other albums and a number of multi-lingual singles. Even today, Pink Martini continues to hit the road to the delight of its fans. In the spring of 2025, China Forbes, Thomas Lauderdale and the others will meet their French fans in Paris for a one-off concert at theAccor Arena on May 14, 2025.
