Not all the candidates for Eurovision 2025 are known yet. But the first trends are already emerging. And surprise! According to the bookmakers, Louane, France's representative, is one of the favorites, even though her song has yet to be unveiled.

As the weeks go by, theEurovision Grand Final draws ever closer. This year, following Nemo' s victory last year, the final will take place in Switzerland, in Basel to be precise. It will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025. While two semi-finals will take place on May 13 and 15, several countries are already assured of a place in the grand final. These are the famous members of the"Big 5", i.e. the five main financial contributors to the EBU (European Broadcasting Union): Germany, Spain, Italy, France and the UK.

As we await the final on May 17, the Eurovision organization is gradually unveiling the identities of the candidates who will be taking part in this 69th edition of the contest. This spring, 37 countries will be competing for the trophy. The identities of most of the shortlisted candidates are now known. At the time of writing, only Georgia, Portugal, San Marino and Sweden remain to be announced. The latest country to unveil its representative is Great Britain. This year, the trio Remember Monday will be defending the British colors with their song " What The Hell Just Happened? ". Made up of Charlotte, Holly and Lauren, the group took part in The Voice UK in 2019.

In France, all eyes will be on Louane, chosen to represent the country at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest. For the moment, her song has not yet been unveiled. It will be unveiled on March 15. The singer has decided to perform it for the first time at the Stade de France during half-time of the last Six Nations match.

We'll have to wait until March 15, 2025 to find out which song Louane has chosen to defend the colors of France at Eurovision. And it's at the Stade de France, during half-time of a match in the Six Nations Tournament, that the singer will perform the song for the very first time. [Read more]

And many are hoping that Louane will help France win this 2025 edition ofEurovision. France's last Eurovision victory dates back to 1977. That year, Marie Myriam sang " L'Oiseau et l'Enfant ", and took first place in London. Since then, the best ranking has gone to Barbara Pravi, who came second in 2021, behind the Italian group Måneskin.

But according to the bookmakers, France is well placed to win this 69th edition of Eurovision. Although all the songs have not yet been unveiled, and the title Louane will perform is not yet known, the French representative is currently among the favorites according to these bookmakers. As of March 7, 2025, Louane is ranked 3rd. According to the bookmakers, the singer has a 12% chance of winning the contest.

Just ahead of Louane, we find Austrian candidate JJ, who recently unveiled his song " Wasted Love " and seems to be appealing to Internet users. But according to the bookmakers, Sweden is the country most likely to win, with 16% of votes credited. However, its representative and the song to be performed for the occasion are still unknown. But Sweden is one of the countries with the most wins at the contest (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015, 2023). The last one was in 2023, with singer Loreen.

So, are the bookmakers right? Does Louane stand a chance of winningEurovision 2025? It's still too early to say. It will also depend on the song the artist performs this spring. To find out, see you on March 16!
