A musical cruise with a concert of Fado, the Portuguese song, on the Marne River

Have you heard of cruises on the Marne? From April to October, the curious can enjoy dozens of different cruises on the river, discovering the region's landscapes on a variety of themes, from gastronomic to historical. On April 27 and September 27, 2025, Cap sur la Marne invites you to travel to Portugal and listen to a bit of Fado, to sail into another world, carried away by the songs and guitar typical of this melancholy musical genre.

During this 1h30 cruise, enjoy a real private concert on the water, offered by Philippe de Sousa and his team, who over the years have become the reference for Portuguese guitar in France. After learning the instrument with Carlos Gonçalves, who accompanied the singer Amália Rodrigues, Philippe de Sousa perpetuates this traditional song born in Lisbon almost two centuries ago. All that remains is to embark for Neuilly-Plaisance!

• April 27 : Traditional Fado with Joana Pereira

Joana Pereira is a"fadiste", a traditional fado singer. Originally from Porto, she took her first steps on the fado scene in her native city before making her mark in Paris. Following in the footsteps of Amalia Rodrigues, she interprets fado with a sensitivity all her own. Very attached to the power of words and the poetry of Fado, she carefully chooses the texts she interprets. She will be accompanied by Philippe De Sousa on Portuguese guitar, and Helder Jardim on classical guitar.
