Who will win the 69thEurovision Song Contest? Who will have the honor of succeeding Switzerland's Nemo? The suspense is at its height, as the famous song contest arrives in Basel this week. In the run-up to the final on Saturday, May 17, 2025, two semi-finals will determine the 20 finalists alongside the 6 automatic qualifiers. The first of these two semi-finals is on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
During this first stage, 15 countries will compete and perform their song in order to win the precious sesame to the grand final. This Tuesday, Iceland, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Ukraine, Sweden, Portugal, Norway, Belgium, Azerbaijan, San Marino, Albania, the Netherlands, Croatia and Cyprus will compete in the first phase. But only 10 of them will have the chance to be among the finalists. So which countries could join France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland, who have already qualified? At the top of the list of favourites is Sweden with KAJ. According to the bookmakers, the group has a 95% chance of qualifying. KAJ could even win this 69th edition of Eurovision, according to the oddsmakers.
The Scandinavian country, a regular Eurovision winner, was closely followed by Tommy Cash, representingEstonia, with 94%. On the third step of the podium, we find the Dutch Claude, credited with 93%. The same estimate applies to Ukraine, which comes in 4th. Finally, in 5th position is Albania (93%).
But which countries might not make it through to the Final, and thus lose their chance of winningEurovision 2025? According to the bookmakers, Portugal, Croatia, Azerbaijan, Iceland and Slovenia won't make it past the first semi-final.
