Paris l'été 2025 Festival: 4 not-to-be-missed musical events

Ever heard of the Paris l'été Festival? For 35 years now, this artistic event has been staging a variety of shows in and around the capital every summer. Created in 1990, under the impetus of Jack Lang and Jacques Chirac, under the name Festival Paris Quartier d'été, the cultural event changed its name in 2017 to Festival Paris l'été. But the concept remains the same: to offer " quality artistic programming to Parisians who remain in the city during the summer, by taking over unexpected, open-air venues ".

This summer, the event returns from July 12 to August 5, 2025, with new shows featuring a variety of disciplines: theater, dance, music, circus, cabaret and performance: theater, dance, music, circus, cabaret, performance... For music lovers, several events should pique your curiosity, like this Birds On a Wire concert with Dom La Nena and Rosemary Standley, but also this encounter between Chloé, a leading figure on the French electronic scene, and Bulgarian percussionist Vassilena Serafimova, or the Kiddy Smile after party at the Grand Palais. • After Party: Kiddy Smile & Horse Meat Disco
  Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10pm to 2am - Grand Palais, Paris - Paying
  On July 12, starting at 10pm, the Grand Palais hosts the after party of Kiddy Smile, famous DJ, singer, performer, producer, LGBT+ activist and leading figure in voguing.
  
  
• Sequenza with Chloé and Vassilena Serafimova
  Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:00 pm - Jardin des Tuileries, Domaine du Louvre, Paris - Paying
  If you like unexpected encounters, then don't miss this one between renowned French electro artist Chloé and talented Bulgarian percussionist Vassilena Serafimova. This is your chance to discover "Sequenza", the title track from the duo's debut album, due for release in 2021. A not-to-be-missed event in the sublime setting of the Jardin des Tuileries.

  The Jardin des Tuileries welcomes Mayra Andrade on July 19. The famous Cape Verdean singer will take the opportunity to present her new concert "reEncanto", accompanied by guitarist Djodje Almeida, revisiting her repertoire in its simplest form.
  
  
• Birds On a Wire with Dom La Nena and Rosemary Standley

  If you've never heard of Birds O a Wire, now's the perfect time to fall under the spell of this musical duo featuring singer Rosemary Standley (of Moriarty fame) and cellist Dom La Nena. Together, they brilliantly revisit classical pieces from multiple horizons. For the Saison Brésil-France 2025, Birds On a Wire will revisit the Brazilian music repertoire.
