A multi-instrumentalist, Alan Stivell is equally at home on Celtic harp, piano, keyboards, Irish flute, bombard and Scottish bagpipes. A free-spirited artist, Alan Stivell became, in 1966, the first professional Breton singer to perform mainly in the Breton language.
With some twenty studio albums to his credit, the singer and musician has produced a large number of songs over the course of his career, some of which are inevitably part of Breton musical heritage. These include"Tri Martolod","Suite Irlandaise","An Alarc'h","Suite Sudarmoricaine","Brian Boru" and "Pop Plinn".
