Nirvana: a concert recorded in Seattle in 1991 to be seen on Arte

Alongside Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, Nirvana were part of Seattle's famous"Big Four". In just three studio albums released between 1989 and 1993, the combo of Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl undeniably left their mark on the history of music, and grunge in particular. More than 30 years after Kurt Cobain's death, his personality and creative talent continue to shape and inspire an entire generation.

Arte has announced the broadcast of a Nirvana concert held on October 31, 1991 at Seattle's Paramount Theater! At the time, it was the band's first concert in a major venue.

Recorded exactly five weeks after the release of the"Nevermind" album, this Nirvana concert at the Paramount Theater is an opportunity to (re)discover a number of key tracks, including " Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam ", " Rape Me ", " Smells Like Teen Spirit ", " About a girl ", " Polly ", " Blew " and " Lithium ".
