From Harvard to Saint-Sulpice: extraordinary voices in concert in Paris!

Paris will host an exceptional musical event with the arrival of the Boys of St. Paul’s Choir School, the prestigious American choir based in Harvard Square (Boston), for a one-off concert at Saint-Sulpice Church (6th arrondissement of Paris), on Thursday, 16 April at 3:00 PM.

Founded in 1963 by Dr. Theodore Marier, St. Paul’s Choir School is now the only Catholic boys’ choir school in the United States. Inheriting the great European tradition of cathedral choirs, these young choristers pair expert musical training with a rigorous academic program. Each week they lead the liturgical offices at Saint Paul’s Parish, performing a repertoire that spans from plainchant to the major works of sacred music, in an acoustically remarkable setting.

Beyond their liturgical commitments, the Boys of St. Paul’s Choir School regularly perform in concerts, embark on international tours and contribute to professional recordings. They collaborate with renowned institutions such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Lyric Opera, and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus. Among their recent notable appearances are Mahler's Symphony No. 8 at Symphony Hall (October 2024), Die Tote Stadt by Korngold (January 2025), and Bernstein's Chichester Psalms with the BSO (January 2026).

Their 2026 European tour brings them to France for a series of concerts, including this exceptional Paris leg at Saint-Sulpice, an iconic site in France's musical and architectural heritage.

The program will present a curated selection of major sacred works, including pieces by Fauré, Bach, Gounod, Franck, Bruckner, Vivaldi, Purcell and Rutter, illustrating the wealth and diversity of the choral repertoire.

This concert will give Parisian audiences a rare opportunity to hear one of America's premier choirs in a prestigious setting, for a musical moment filled with spirituality and emotion.
