In March, the capital also plays host to a host of national and international artists. Fromrock, K-pop, metal and electro to rap, R&B, classical music, blues, jazz and French variety, all these artists have one thing in common: to make live music resonate, to make you vibrate!
Paris and the Île-de-France region boast a wide variety of concert halls and live performance venues to welcome music lovers. Of course, there are the iconic large-scale venues like Paris La Défense Arena. Located in the Hauts-de-Seine, it is the largest indoor arena in Europe. Opposite it on the map, you'll find Paris Bercy, a legendary venue that has hosted countless top-tier artists over the years. Several other venues also champion live music, including the Zénith de Paris, the historic Olympia, the Philharmonie, the Salle Pleyel, the Trianon, the Folies Bergère, the Grand Rex, and the Élysée Montmartre.
And if you prefer more intimate venues, then head to La Maroquinerie, La Cigale, Le Trabendo, La Gaîté Lyrique, La Boule Noire or Petit Bain and Cabaret Sauvage.
In recent months, many artists and bands have taken over one of these venues. These include Linkin Park, Taylor Swift, Sum 41, Nick Cave, Lindsey Stirling, Alice Cooper, ZZ Top, Beth Gibbons, PJ Harvey and Shaka Ponk.
