Pinocchio comes to life at the Comédie-Française Studio

An immense classic of Italian culture and one of the most widely translated books in the world, Pinocchio tells the extraordinary story of a wooden puppet who comes to life. Director Sophie Bricaire, a collaborator of Tiago Rodrigues, approaches this mythical story through the eyes of Geppetto, the old craftsman with a big heart.

In his workshop,Geppetto shapes a simple piece of wood into Pinocchio. But this long-awaited son, eager for adventure and freedom, tries to escape the poverty of his home and plunges into a whirlwind of experiences. He crosses paths with puppet-showman Mangefeu, the fearsome manipulators Fox and Cat, and is guided by the benevolent Blue Fairy.
