And what if a night out at a show also became a tour of a space that’s been totally transformed? At the Grand Hôtel des Rêves, located at 47 rue du Cardinal Lemoine in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, visitors discover an immersive venue built to host theatre works to be experienced room by room. Right now, the venue presents Jules Verne, Le Voyage Extraordinaire, a family-friendly immersive show of 55 minutes centered on the writer’s universe.
Set in a former private mansion in the Quartier Latin, the Grand Hôtel des Rêves presents itself as a hub of artistic creation where the décor is part of the experience. Here, audiences aren’t watching a traditional stage from afar: they move through several spaces, getting up close to the performers, in a staging that accompanies the narrative.
With more than 1,000 m² of sets, the Grand Hotel of Dreams is betting on a roaming, walk-through approach to the show. Each room becomes its own universe, designed to propel the story forward and establish a distinct atmosphere. The venue aims to host several immersive productions across its season, including a Christmas show announced among the upcoming offerings.
This orientation may appeal to families, fans of immersive theatre, curious explorers of unusual venues in Paris, and visitors seeking a cultural outing in the 5th arrondissement.
As part of its Jules Verne program, the Grand Hôtel des Rêves invites audiences to journey through several universes inspired by adventure novels. The route nods to iconic figures such as Phileas Fogg, Captain Nemo, or Dr. Fergusson, in a production conceived by Polaris Production.
The show rests on a sequence of eight 360° sets, ranging from 19th-century drawing rooms to nautical atmospheres and adventurous landscapes. The audience follows the performers from one room to another, in a format that blends theater, wandering, and close contact with the actors.
Presented through November 8, 2026, the show runs on Saturdays, Sundays and every day during school holidays. Tickets begin at €19, with free admission announced for children under 4 years.
An additional option, dubbed “Grands Visiteurs”, lets you extend the experience with a 15-minute bonus scene centered on a manuscript rediscovered 90 years after the author's disappearance. This extension is available by reservation, with a 10 euros supplement.
