The MégaWATT 2025 artistic journey arrives in Paris and Seine-et-Marne from May 3 to June 28. Shows, workshops, circus and dance in free access, all in the public space.

Organized by the Coopérative De Rue et De Cirque (2r2c), MégaWATT 2025 is a lively, multi-faceted program, entirely free of charge, that will take over public spaces in Paris and the Seine-et-Marn countryside. From May 3 to June 28, 2025, this event would combine contemporary circus shows, dance, participatory workshops, urban performances and in situ creations, in unexpected places such as a chapel, a neighborhood square or a transformed container.

MegaWATT is all about seeing and doing. Seeing shows, of course, but also participating: creating a giant fresco, discovering parkour, practicing aerial circus or attending the working stages of artists in residence. The programming would be conceived as a series of open, accessible artistic events, designed to create links between the works, the artists and the public.

Highlights include

  • Nathalie Pernette's"Wakan - Un souffle", on May 24 at the Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière, blends dance and spirituality in a choreographic ritual inspired by the world's sacred dances.
  • "Assemblée" by the Sauf le dimanche company, on June 14, takes over the Place de Vénétie in the 13th arrondissement for an entire day, transforming exchanges with local residents into choreographic material.
  • "Impact d'une course [Olympiades]", an acrobatic and urban performance by the horde dans les pavés, takes place on June 20 in the heart of the Tolbiac district, diverting the uses of the city through parkour and live music.
  • Cie Furinkaï's"Origami ", on the same day in the Parc de Choisy, features acrobatic dance on an articulated container, for one of its very last performances in Paris.

The festival also extends to Seine-et-Marne with WeCirk!, a day of circus performances under the century-old trees of the château de Quincy-Voisins park on June 28, preceded by school sessions on the 26th and 27th.

At the same time, several workshops will punctuate the program, from circus practice for children to parkour initiation, from imaginary notebook making to origami. The "Mini-Assemblées" and other collective performances would extend the participatory spirit of the project.

MégaWATT would appeal to a wide audience: families, contemporary dance fans , circus creation enthusiasts and the simply curious in search of accessible and original artistic offerings. The free, off-site format and the variety of forms on offer would make the event particularly conducive to spontaneous, intergenerational discovery.

Conceived as an artistic journey as much as a collective breathing space, MégaWATT would be part of a human-scale living art logic, nourished by local roots and the hospitality of its forms.
