Presented by Compagnie Du Théâtre à Table and written and directed by Vincent Roger, À Table! is an atypical theatrical proposition that will appeal to the audience's sense of hearing as much as to their imagination. Based on an immersive audio system, the show will be performed with headphones on in the intimate setting of the Théâtre de L'Européen on May 12, 2025. Vincent Roger, also on stage, will be accompanied by Wedia Pendje, Ania Gauer, Renaud Dehesdin, Antoine Martin Sauveur and Étienne Guillou Kervern.

The premise of À Table ! is based on a micro-theatrical device in which the audience, placed outside a traditional stage, follows the confidences of the characters at the table through headphones. Three moments of life would be staged: as many moments captured as close as possible to the breath, the whisper, the gesture. The spectator, wherever he or she may be seated in the auditorium, would hear the slightest murmur, as if spying on a secret conversation. A handful of spectators would even be able to sit at the actors' table, at the heart of the fiction, without ever being asked.

This immersive device would appeal particularly to audiences interested in innovative theatrical forms, sensitive to the intimacy of the play and the sound experience. Audiences in search of direct interaction, or classic scenography, may find À Table! more disconcerting, as it relies on discretion and sonic proximity rather than spectacular staging.
À Table ! claims to be a hybrid between cinema and theater, both in its precise use of sound and in Vincent Roger's fragmentary, naturalistic writing. The experience is made possible by high-definition audio equipment, loaned and disinfected by the theater for each spectator.
