Since September 23, 2025,La Scène Parisienne has been programming Radio Michel, a musical show based on the famous web radio station that only broadcasts artists named Michel or Michèle. Presented once a month until February 24, 2026, the show returns in a new version produced by the Le Garage company in the south of France. It offers a live musical journey through more than thirty songs from the repertoires of Michel Fugain, Michel Berger, Michel Jonasz, Michel Sardou, Michel Polnareff, Michel Delpech, Michel Legrand, and Michèle Torr.
The plot transports the audience to 2120: the legendary Radio Michel, once the leading music radio station in the West, no longer attracts listeners. The reason: no one is named Michel anymore. How can a radio station survive without artists to program? The show depicts the station's desperate attempt to escape extinction, as unexpected competition emerges: Radio François. This fictional setting provides the pretext for a humorous and nostalgic journey through French song.
Radio Michel brings together seven actors and actresses on stage, accompanied by five live musicians. The original musical arrangements highlight a selection of iconic songs, alternating between faithful interpretations and more contemporary reinterpretations. The show takes a joyful and accessible approach, playing on the complicity with the audience and the rediscovery of popular classics. It is aimed as much at lovers of French chanson as at spectators curious about musical shows based on humor and inventiveness.
The production also offers a special "Michel" discount for audience members named Michel, Michelle, or Michèle, available at the online box office.
