Panic in the Sixteenth! returns to the Theo Théâtre, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, from October 8 to December 17, 2026. The show brings to the stage an investigation by Michel Pinçon and Monique Pinçon-Charlot, adapted by David Ruellan, exploring the reactions provoked by a plan for an emergency shelter.
The story opens with a public meeting held in March 2016 in the 16th arrondissement. As the project is unveiled, protests erupt, and two sociologists are in attendance. The residents’ voices, captured here, form the core of this adaptation: they allow us to observe the tensions and social dynamics at work in this Parisian neighborhood.
The play is produced by the Compagnie Sémaphore and the Compagnie du Chameau. It returns to the Théo Théâtre after an initial run in 2025. For this revival, three post-show discussions with Monique Pinçon-Charlot are planned following the performances on October 22, November 26 and December 10.
Panic in the Sixteenth is performed on Thursday evenings at 8:30 PM, at 20 Rue Théodore Deck, Paris. A one-day break is planned for November 5. The theatre advises the show for audiences aged twelve and up. Availability and bookings can be found on the Théo Théâtre’s official page.
