The Comédie-Française, a veritable French theatrical institution, is often perceived as a prestigious venue where ticket prices are excessive. Yet it's perfectly possible to attend without blowing your budget, as long as you know the tricks for accessing more affordable seats.
This emblematic venue offers a range of cards with exclusive benefits. Cards must be purchased at the beginning of each Comédie-Française season , and the number of cards on sale is unfortunately limited to 4,000 Adult Cards, 1,700 Youth Cards and 700 Family Cards.
But that's not all! The Comédie-Française is offering between 65 and 85 seats at €5 for each performance in the Salle Richelieu , and up to 85 free seats for under-28s. Reduced-audience tickets can be picked up one hour before the start of the performance, without reservation, at the Petit Bureau.
Young people aged 15 to 18 can also take advantage of Pass Culture. Set up by the government to promote young people's access to culture, it gives teenagers a credit of between €20 and €300, via a dedicated application, to book cultural activities and outings. Schools, from 6e to terminale, also benefit from a Culture Pass budget to organize group activities.
