Freestyle, the unmissable street culture festival, is back at La Villette! Dance, street-art, fashion, music, sport... The free street culture festival returns for a new, even more incredible edition, on May 31 and June 1, 2025. Not to be missed!
A whole weekend dedicated to street culture in all its forms, for a total immersion in urban art. It's a not-to-be-missed event that's back at La Villette for its tenth edition, on May 31 and June 1, 2025. The free Freestyle festival is back with an extra edition, celebrating 10 years of the event, to our great delight!
This year, the Freestyle festival takes place outdoors, day and night, for even more discoveries and surprises. See you on the Prairie du Cercle Nord, in the various areas of the site, for a wide range of entertainment. An open-air event, to take advantage of the freedom offered by these wide-open spaces, and to have fun in the bright Parisian sunshine. Performances, workshops, demonstrations and parties await us during this memorable weekend.
On the program? Dancing, roller dancing, street-art, basketball, street workouts, DJ sets, artistic battles and many other activities open to all. In short, it's a popular festival that's not to be missed! Sweet and savoury food trucks are on hand every day, so we can make the most of the festival.

In his colorful, geometric creations, Guillaumit blends drawing, 2D and 3D animation and video games, taking a humorous approach to contemporary issues. For BlockSmog, he imagined a participative transmedia exhibition on the theme of air pollution, combining graphic arts and augmented reality. The work consists of 3 frescoes with a narrative progression, each associated with an augmented reality mini-game, accessible via a mobile application. Each game tackles a specific aspect of air pollution in a fun and engaging way.

A professional training program for graduates, the Fresque & Art en situation program of the Beaux-Arts de Paris enables its students to work in various fields of art in the public space. For their first partnership with Freestyle and La Villette, the group of students designed Parabolid, a monumental installation which, with a convertible car on top, symbolizes the passage from one urban era to another.

Rendez-vous incontournable for movement enthusiasts, the Tournoi du Temple, the only official national battle, brings together the country's best tricksters. A freestyle superhero sport, tricking blends acrobatics and martial arts, crossing gymnastics with capoeira, taekwondo and kung fu. In battles without nets or special effects, athletes challenge each other with spectacular aerial tricks. Hosted by Vivien Youlou and DJ Viol3nce, the Temple Tournament will be preceded by an initiation session open to all. An intense and explosive moment to experience, to watch... and to try!

La mosaïque, c'est le futur! Heir to the pop art tradition of the ready-made, Kid Pier confronts the objects of 21st-century culture with the ancestral art of mosaic, born 6,000 years ago. By sculpting Internet memes, game-boys, Polaroid film and Amazon parcels, he takes these symbols into the future and bears witness to his own era: from the birth of YouTube to the first video game consoles, from VHS cassettes to the first cell phones. For Freestyle, Kid Pier created a ghettoblaster sculpture, a symbol of the birth of hip-hop, which he transposed into a live-painted fresco. Disabled following a serious accident, the artist invites the public to paint his fresco with him.

A construction game developed by designers Alisa Andrasek and José Sanchez, Bloom Games lets you appropriate urban space and give free rein to your imagination. More than 1,500 interlocking parts are available for participants to create a collective, evolving and participative work of art. The infinite number of possibilities makes it unique to each new installation. The flexible, resistant plastic allows the creation of curves, tunnels and other plant-inspired shapes.

Run by the Fédération régionale des CIDFF d'Ile-de-France, the Van Info Femme goes out to meet the people of the Ile-de-France region, introducing them to the network they can benefit from free of charge, while raising their awareness of gender equality and sexist and sexual violence. As part of Freestyle, through games and discussions with professionals, the van raises awareness of the risks of prostitution, in partnership with the Mouvement du Nid, a specialist association. Targeting young people first and foremost, it reminds them of the law, initiates discussions on the subject, and introduces them to their respective associations and free services in case of need.
