Wizards and witches from all over the world, and even muggles, enjoy a new magical trip to the heart of the British Library. But leave your broom and get out of this chimney: no need to get out of the house. The Harry Potter exhibition is available online for free for our greatest joy!

Alright, stay calm, breathe… Ok, stay calm. The British Library housed an exhibition devoted to Harry Potter from October 2019 to February 28, 2020. Some lucky visitors have had the chance to admire but for us, it was an Eldorado more difficult to get to than a vault in Gringotts. Until now. This exhibition is now available online, for free, and includes treasures such as documents, conferences and incredible drawings. Merlin’s beard! Now you can scream and be excited because this is truly brilliant! Head to the Knight Bus for an extraordinary virtual tour!

Harry Potter – a history of magic takes us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. Hours of contents await us: discover all the secrets of Ripley’s manuscript and Nicolas Flamel’s philosopher’s stone, admire the magical items displayed at the British Library such as crystal balls, flying brooms and other divination mirrors.

If you feel closer to Hagrid (or Newt Scamander, depending on how badly you need a haircut), the first category you will want to enjoy is the care of magical creatures. Unless you are more into astronomy, potions or spells. It is Hogwarts’ entire curriculum you will find in this exhibition: you can soon add “graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry” on your resume.

A history of magic that also includes magnificent sketches and studies that enabled to give life to the magical world of our favorite sorcerer. Enjoy Diagon Alley, Professor Lupin, Trolls and even Mandrakes, as created by Jim Kay who has been personally chosen by J.K. Rowling to illustrate the new editions of Harry Potter.

Lots of surprise await and only good ones (unlike Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans)! To never leave the wizarding world, enjoy the experience along with confinement special activities available on the new Harry Potter platform.
