It's going to swing at the Musée en Herbe! From November 17, 2022 to May 21, 2023, the children's museum will plunge us into the history of recorded music, with the exhibition En avant la Musique!

From LPs to smartphones, cassettes to CDs, recorded music has evolved quickly and beautifully! The Musée en Herbe is celebrating 150 years of recorded music with an interactive and fun exhibition, suitable for all music lovers. From November 17, 2022 to May 21, 2023, come and discover En avant la Musique, the new exhibition of the Musée en Herbe.

Thanks to the partnership of the Syndicat national de l'édition phonographique and the PHONO Museum, the Musée en Herbe plunges us into the world of recorded music. In less than two centuries, this small universe has undergone many drastic changes!

From the phonograph to the digital, the ways of listening to music and sharing these musical experiences have evolved. The exhibition En avant la Musique! allows us to discover the first talking machines, to have fun with CDs, and even to participate in a mixing session in a studio!

The Musée en Herbe highlights the different professions of the music and record industry with immersive experiences and spaces. We are even allowed to pretend to be stars, playing with voices and melodies, to create our own hit. The course of the exhibition tells the history of recorded music, but also its importance in cinema, video games, streaming ...

Of course, art and music are one in the same in this exhibition, which highlights different works, from album covers to Djeff's cassette tree, through a musical work by Jean-Pierre Müller.

We enjoy, along the way, various games and animations around the music. Telephones allow us to discover the music and the greatest hits from 1857 to today. The opportunity to make the youngest discover the songs of your youth! The many interactive elements allow us to compose melodies ourselves, to understand how songs are recorded in the studio... The adults have as much fun as the kids (even if the fact of having to explain how a portable CD player works to the young generation can be painful...).

This playful exhibition mixes many animations to the artistic path, so that visitors of all ages can learn while having fun. Scavenger hunt, music, sound manipulation experience, immersive room... Once again, the Musée en Herbe knows how to seduce and captivate us with its unusual exhibitions!

An appointment not to be missed. What are you waiting for to discover the new exhibition of the Musée en Herbe?
