agnès b. unveils the sixth season of its collection at La Fab. from June 9 to October 22, 2023. Head for the temple of contemporary art in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, to discover"Le Langage du Corps", a captivating exhibition that is a veritable ode to body language.
Body language, that non-verbal form of communication that awakens so many mysteries, is revealed here in all its splendour. From gentleness to violence, from beauty to strangeness, every look, every movement expresses a profound meaning. The body becomes the protagonist, the object of study, the medium of expression and the material to be shaped. The artists, masters of their craft, ingeniously explore the multiple dimensions of the human body. They question, sublimate and even mock this carnal envelope that defines us, representing it in spaces as diverse as wilderness, frenetic urbanity or the most intimate recesses.
The exhibition features a multitude of creations, from drawings to sculptures, photographs, films and paintings. Each art form echoes the richness and diversity of body language through some sixty works as emblematic as they are enigmatic, from Peter Hujar to Tracey Emin, via Larry Clark, Malick Sidibé and Niki de Saint Phalle.
