It's an annual tradition at Rambolitrain, the museum dedicated to the toy train in Rambouillet, to hold a festive day on May 1st. This year, discover this family event with the kids!

Over in Rambouillet, the Rambolitrain is a must, an essential cultural hub of the town, especially for toy train fans. Indeed, the museum is dedicated to the toy train and traces the history of the little children's train from its 19th-century origins to today. In addition to its usual programming, every May 1st the museum hosts Rambolitrain Retro, an event as festive as it is playful.

On the agenda? Rambolitrain is staging a grand antique-toy fair in the museum garden and the Patenôtre Hall, with garden trains running all day long. These tiny locomotives let you hop aboard the carriages and cruise around the museum’s garden on miniature rails built especially for these models. Adults and kids can settle into the back of the wagon and off you go!
