The Musée de l'Homme explores our origins and evolution, from Neanderthal man to Homo Sapiens, before bringing the permanent collections to a close with an open reflection on the future of Man. On the weekend of October 4 and 5, 2025, the museum celebrates the 10th anniversary of its reopening, with a birthday party open to the whole family and a host of events, under the banner of prehistory, science and festivities!
To mark the occasion, the museum is opening a new area for children, where they can immerse themselves in the daily lives of our prehistoric ancestors! A whole host of workshops await you to explore this era and travel back in time: build a Neanderthal shelter, light a fire like a Homo erectus, climb a tree like an Australopithecus and decorate a wall like our distant Homo sapiensancestors...
A fun and interactive immersion, where visitors can also talk directly to scientists from the Musée de l'Homme, about the secrets of fossils and ancient tools, collections of amulets and magic objects, the mysteries of DNA and other elements often unknown to the general public!
