And what if this summer, reality begins to glitch a little? Head to Pantin, to the Magasins Généraux, for a free exhibition that toys with our certainties.
From June 25 to September 27, 2026, "Simulacres" takes up residence with free admission, open Wednesday through Sunday, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in this landmark cultural venue by the canal. Ahead of that, join us on Wednesday, June 24 for a free opening evening by registration.

The concept is simple (though not always wise): to explore every way art blurs the line between reality and appearance. Hyperrealism, trompe-l'œil, perceptual tricks, fabricated sets, avatars, synthetic images or creations generated by artificial intelligence… here, anything can look real without necessarily being so.
The exhibition brings together about twenty artists from France and around the world and unfolds in three acts around three big ideas: mimicry, illusion, and simulation. Three ways of copying, twisting, or manufacturing reality, until the boundary becomes frankly porous. Here you’ll encounter works that sometimes trap the eye, destabilize perception, or make what you think you’re looking at wobble.
Here, perception is everything.
