They have populated castles, pirate ships and police stations for decades. The archives of this famous figurine brand arrive at Hôtel Drouot today for an exhibition and an unprecedented auction running from September 23 to 26, 2026.

LEGO, Labubu… collectible toys have never been more in demand. It’s now the little figures with fixed hair and a fixed smile stepping out of kids’ rooms to take over Hôtel Drouot. On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Paris auction house is staging its first public auction dedicated entirely to Playmobil’s advertising and promotional archives. In total, more than 280 lots will go under the hammer: pieces that dressed store windows, animated trade shows, or ran the brand’s campaigns, but have never before been put up for sale.

Ahead of the official opening, visitors will be able to discover these treasures during a free exhibition from September 23 to 26, 2026. The catalog brings together more than 70 giant figurines in resin or PVC, depicting the heroes, animals and iconic worlds of Playmobil, as well as a few pop-culture guests, such as the Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters or Captain Spock from Star Trek. In addition, there are more than 170 dioramas on display cases, devoted to Pirates, Knights, Western, Farm, Police, Princesses, Astérix or City Action, not to mention about thirty displays, totems, kakémonos and other promotional items that accompanied the brand’s launches.

As the lots move across the block, a whole chapter of Playmobil’s history unfolds. This sale also has a charitable angle: all proceeds will be donated to the association Cékedubonheur, which has been working for more than twenty years to improve the daily lives of hospitalized children by funding projects that foster well-being, provide a sense of escape, and help maintain family bonds.
