For decades, the Montmartre district has attracted artists of all ages and nationalities. Is it the hill topped by the Sacré-Cœur basilica? Its vineyards and parks, its unusual buildings, its breathtaking view of Paris? To find out why this iconic district captivates artists so much, it's simple: just ask them!
For this, the Association d'Anvers aux Abbesses is hosting Open Doors, from November 20 to 23, 2026. Over four days, curious visitors and art lovers can meet local artists, talk with them about their creations and their creative process, and perhaps walk away with a piece of art under their arm!
For 30 years, the Abbesses Association in Antwerp has been bringing theMontmartre neighborhoodto life with this free event. Parisian contemporary artists are showcased in a walking tour that takes us from galleries to artists' studios.
Paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, street art, digital art, mosaics... Visitors can explore a wide range of creations across styles. It’s hard not to find something that speaks to you! With 105 artists taking part across 48 studios, these open studios are sure to draw a broadly diverse crowd. Each exhibition venue is marked by a red banner. The open-studios map is available online.
In November, contemporary art enthusiasts are expected in the Montmartre district to take advantage of these free open-house days!
