Art Paris 2025, the major springtime event for modern and contemporary art, awaits us from April 3 to 6, 2025 in the renovated spaces of the Grand Palais. This 27th edition will welcome 170 exhibitors from 25 countries, 34 more than in 2024, confirming the growth of this must-attend event.

Without a doubt, Art Paris is one of Paris' most not-to-be-missed fairs: it returns from April 3 to 6, 2025, for a long-awaited 27th edition, as rich and exciting as ever. After several years of refurbishment, the Grand Palais has reopened its doors to welcome back the cultural fair that celebratesmodern and contemporary art. Visitors can look forward to discovering this new edition in the spring, on the themes of "Immortelle: a look at painting" and "Hors limites".

This year, some 170 modern and contemporary art galleries and over 900 artists await us at the Grand Palais. A total of 25 countries are represented, from Chile to Korea, Turkey to Italy. More than ever, the event pushes back frontiers and invites discovery.

The show highlights a balance between a dynamic French scene (60% of exhibitors) and a strong international presence (40%), with 36% of new galleries. Loyal exhibitors include Continua, Lelong & Co, Nathalie Obadia, Almine Rech and Templon, while newcomers such as Sabrina Amrani (Madrid), Waddington-Custot (London) and Tang Contemporary (Beijing) enrich the artistic offering.

Two key themes mark this edition. " Immortelle", curated byAmélie Adamo and Numa Hambursin, explores figurative painting in France with a selection of 30 artists, illustrating the permanence of this practice across generations. The program includes a dedicated catalog and a series of four round-table discussions on April 5 and 6. Meanwhile, "Hors limites", conceived by Simon Lamunière, highlights 18 international artists exploring cultural mixing and hybridization.

The event is enhanced by a number of initiatives:

  • Promesses, a space dedicated to young galleries and emerging creation, now extends over the southern balconies of the Grand Palais, with 25 galleries, 59% of them foreign.

  • Solo Show, featuring 26 monographic exhibitions, offering an in-depth look at modern and contemporary artists.

  • French Design Art Edition, a new sector dedicated to contemporary design, staged by Jakob + MacFarlane, bringing together 18 specialist exhibitors.

  • The BNP Paribas Banque Privée Prize, awarded to a French artist with an endowment of 40,000 euros.

  • The Prix Her Art, initiated by Marie Claire and Boucheron, recognizing the work of women artists, with a prize of 30,000 euros.

To get the most out of this fair, you need to take your time. In addition to the many galleries to discover, over twentyexhibitions are scattered throughout the fair. These "solo" or "duo" shows showcase the great names of modern and contemporary art, as well as emerging talents.

And don't forget to visit the Promises sector. Here, young galleries have the opportunity to present several of their artists. For this 27th edition, 25 galleries have been selected, most of them international exhibitors. An opportunity for us to discover talent from all over the world!

One last detour: discover the fair's new sector, the French Design Art Edition, which showcases contemporary design and decorative arts through a selection of 18 exhibitors and a major group show.

Finally, the curators of this international fair have each chosen some twenty artists to explore the themes of the show. Various works have been chosen to represent Immortelle: a look at painting, and Hors limites. Themes that question, explore and predict the future of the contemporary art scene.

As you'll have guessed, this year's edition of Art Paris goes even further, to the delight of contemporary art lovers. So grab your ticket and get ready to discover all the new features of this 2025 edition.
