Back for a new edition: the outsider art fair Outsider' Paris invites us to the Bastille Design Center in the 11th arrondissement, from October 20–25, 2026. But that’s not all! This year the fair expands to the Halle Saint-Pierre, which is staging a festive program to accompany the Bastille Design Center’s exhibitions. This cultural gathering brings together several galleries and artists with a taste for raw, outsider art to celebrate the genre.
But what exactly isart brut? This movement was identified in 1945 by Jean Dubuffet: he gave this name to creations made by the marginalized and the insane, i.e. hospitalized, imprisoned, anarchist, mystical or rebellious people. For Dubuffet, art brut is created by people who have received no artistic education or culture, and who create free from these traditional and intellectual influences and shackles.
Art brut fascinates artists and collectors alike, and has undergone several evolutions over the decades. Always on the bangs of more traditional currents, art brut is now proudly on show at Le Molière, for the latest edition of the Outsider' Paris fair.
This year, sixteen galleries are taking part in this free fair, open to everyone. On this occasion, exhibitors will present a variety of artists and works that are sure to surprise visitors. At the Halle Saint-Pierre, visitors can enjoy round-table discussions, a performance, and an evening concert... Full details of the program are expected to be announced soon.
Outsider' Paris is organized alongside the Art Basel Paris fair, which focuses on contemporary art. A busy week awaits art lovers in the capital!
