Here, you'll find yourself in the heart of the former Christofle factory, in a veritable industrial village classified as a historical monument. You're probably familiar with the name: Christofle is nothing less than one of France's most famous silversmiths. Founded in 1830, the company achieved notoriety thanks to a commission from Napoleon III: it produced the famous"surtouts", the impressive ornaments found on the emperor's tables. The Plaine Saint-Denis site, ideally located between the canal and the railroad, was built in 1875 and occupied by the company until 2007.

Since 2016, l'Orfèvrerie has been home to 200 artists and craftspeople in residence, as well as audio-visual companies and a reuse factory.
