Take advantage of this new edition of the Journées européennes des Métiers d'Art to discover the secrets of the Sèvres factory, on April 5 and 6, 2025.

Every year, the Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art (or JEMA) gives us the opportunity to visit workshops, museums and other monuments, to discover the treasures hidden there, and the craftsmen who look after them. In the spring of 2025, from March 31 to April 6 to be precise, over a thousand events will be taking place all over France.

Among this host of events are exceptional free tours of the porcelain production workshops of Sèvres-Manufacture and Musées nationaux. The Manufacture awaits us on the weekend of April 5 and 6, 2025, to reveal its treasures and secrets.

The Manufacture de Sèvres is a well-known art and heritage site in the Île-de-France region. Museum, Cité de la Céramique, Heritage Days... It's likely that you've already had the opportunity to discover this place and the works it contains. So there's no reason to return for JEMA 2025...

Think again! For the Journées des Métiers d'Art, the Manufacture invites us to meet some of its craftsmen, and organizes special themed events open to all, free of charge.

Here is the program for JEMA 2025 at the Manufacture de Sèvres:

  • Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6, 2025
    11 am - 6 pm
Musée national de Céramique de Sèvres
    Free / Admission free
On the occasion of the Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art, the artisans of the Manufacture de Sèvres invite you to the rooms of the Musée national de Céramique to reveal the secrets of porcelain manufacture. Come and discover their skills and know-how for a weekend of demonstrations and encounters.

On Sunday, April 6, from 2 to 6 pm, in the company of some of the exhibition curators, enjoy a unique dialogue between the Manufacture's gestures and the works in the Merveilles exhibition!
Since 1740, the Manufacture de porcelaine de Sèvres has been a unique center for the creation of shapes and colors, where skills of excellence have been handed down from generation to generation. Even today, 120 craftsmen combine traditional techniques with artistic innovation: from re-editions of emblematic 18th-century pieces to collaborations with contemporary artists, the Manufacture is constantly renewing its production.

Join us on Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6, from 11am to 6pm, for a unique opportunity to discover Sèvres know-how in the heart of the Museum! In January 2025, Sèvres and Mobilier National joined forces to form a new public entity dedicated to the decorative arts and crafts: Les Manufactures nationales - Sèvres & Mobilier national. The new entity brings together 650 employees from 53 different trades in 4 manufactures (Sèvres, Savonnerie, Gobelins, Beauvais), 2 lace workshops (Le Puy, Alençon), a research and creation workshop (ARC) and two national museums (in Sèvres and Limoges).

Don't miss this exceptional event on the first weekend of April!
