Architecture Days 2026: Guided Art Deco tour at Parc Boussard (91)

After the Heritage Days, we keep diving into the heart of Paris and Île-de-France’s monuments and extraordinary creations, for the National Architecture Days, on 17 and 18 October 2026. It’s an opportunity to discover or get to know many sites, with activities that are often free and open to all—ranging from guided tours to children’s workshops and offbeat events.

Created during the Art Deco period (1927) by a renowned architect, Joseph Marrast, for the Boussard family, who had taken up residence in Lardy, this small 5,000 m² garden, which became a municipal park in 1989, is interesting as an approach to an architectural movement, an era - that of the 1925 International Decorative Arts Exhibition - and the art of gardens. In addition, this listed garden has benefited from the Heritage Lottery for a complete restoration to be completed in 2022. It was declared a Remarkable Garden by the French Ministry of Culture in 2024.

The Boussard Park, in Lardy (Essonne), is one of the few Art Deco gardens in Île-de-France. Registered as a historic monument and named a Remarkable Garden, this free-entry municipal park is open year-round.
