The Corniche des Forts leisure park, a leisure island in Seine-Saint-Denis

Part of the State-Region Plan contract, the Corniche des Forts open-air and leisure center is a local space for the inhabitants of the 93. Its main objective is to provide accessible green spaces for the Seine-Saint-Denis region.

Located in the heart of the towns of Pantin, Les Lilas, Noisy-le-Sec and Romainville, this 4.5-hectare urban park offers a wide range of sporting, recreational and cultural activities. The project also includes a 20-hectare wooded area , closed to the public to preserve biodiversity.

From the Château de Romainville to the Folie de Pantin, residents of Seine-Saint-Denis and other départements will be able to walk for almost 4 km through meadows, gypsum cliffs and allotments... Come and discover the Corniche des Forts leisure park!

The project comprises three areas on the edge of the woods:

• A leisure plain

This will include sports facilities (apparatus and climbing wall) and children's play areas, as well as relaxation areas that respect biodiversity: meadows for insects and gabion walls for lizards.

• An observation bridge

Conceived as an immersion in the natural woodland, with observation posts and educational panels, it provides a link between the different areas of the Île de loisirs, while limiting the amount of space required on the ground.

• An eco-pasture zone

This hybrid area is largely undeveloped and closed to the public. Its purpose is to encourage the development of new plant species and limit the spread of invasive species by grazing sheep and other livestock. This area will be surrounded by an observation path.

But also new facilities:

• Sports and walking trails for everyday walking, running and cycling. 1.3 km of these paths are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
• Sports apparatus and climbing wall: lightweight, high-quality facilities for all levels of fitness.
• Relaxation areas covering 1.5 hectares (three meadows).
• Children's playground: swings, climbing structure, climbing wall for all ages.
• Pony club and tree climbing course

The absence of water-related activities, present in most of the regional bases, gives it a specificity and originality, for a greener ride in Seine-Saint-Denis!
