Buthiers, the leisure island with swimming and sporting activities in the Fontainebleau Forest

A tree-top adventure course, a swimming complex, a multi-sport space, a mountain-bike trail... The Buthiers leisure base stands as one of the region’s most complete facilities in Seine-et-Marne: perfect for a family outing or a get-together with friends on sunny days.

The Buthiers leisure park or Ile de loisirs de Buthiers awaits you all year round for a breath of fresh air with the whole family. And there's a whole host of activities on offer, including forest walks, mini-golf, bike hire, accrobranche (tree climbing), swimming... A great way to spend some quality time!

Note that the pool opens only during the summer season, and this year it’s starting mid-June 2026, on Wednesdays and weekends in June, then daily in July and August, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Anyway, the Base de Loisirs de Buthiers is the ideal place to unwind on vacation: rock climbing, catapults, laser tag, spider net, plus giant boules and a swimming pool—the site is a genuine aquatic complex where you can go wild in the water!

On the program at the Buthiers leisure centre:

A swimming complex: Comprising a 1,400 m2 pool with 7 slides and a 600 m2 children's area with slides, water games and the giant spider, it's a family favorite from June to August for €9 per adult and €7.50 per child. This infrastructure is complemented by France's largest 12-meter boarding simulator, which offers surfing, wakeboarding and water skiing in summer and winter alike, thanks to its heated room.

Picnics and catering: several picnic areas with tables are available. What's more, the cafeteria is open on days when the pool is open, to relieve hunger and thirst. Please note that the proximity of the Fontainebleau forest prevents the use of barbecues!
Children's play area: a spider-like rope structure awaits children, under parental supervision.
Multi-sports area: basketball, beach volleyball, soccer, tennis and padel courts, an 8-metre high climbing wall, a fun climbing wall (Funwall) and a skate park with free access.
Orienteering course, disco golf, pumptrack parks (mogul circuits)
Parcours accrobranche Aventure: In Buthiers, 10 accrobranche courses accessible to all await you all year round (€26 for adults aged 10 and over, €19.50 for 11-17 year-olds, €16.50 for 6-10 year-olds, €11.50 for 3-5 year-olds) and for little adventurers, a Spider Filet promises the same sensations, in complete safety, without the need to be attached (€12.50 to €16.50 per hour).
Mountain biking and fun bikes: The Buthiers leisure island boasts the largest 2- and 3-wheeled park in the Ile de France region, with over 120 km of signposted circuits, or 8 courses ranging from 3 to 40 km in length, from green to red in color. And for those seeking new sensations, Buthiers has 200 bikes (KMX, QBX, recumbent bikes, adult tandems, skateboards, electric-assist bikes) for hire at €34 per day or €21 per half-day.
Outdoor Laser Game : A pain-free outdoor laser game (infrared system) awaits you all year round, for a great battle in a natural (and pain-free) environment. 15€ for 30 minutes.
Archery: Ideal for teenagers, archery is an activity that requires precision, calm and concentration. At Buthiers, archery is supervised, but only for groups (12 people maximum, at 205€ for 3 hours).

Espace Nature: a school apiary and an educational garden await you for introductory workshops on biodiversity. Beekeeping courses are offered to adults on Saturdays, while a nature club is open to children during the school vacations!

Roulottes: 3 roulottes with fully-equipped kitchen/dining area, a double bed in the bedroom and 2 bunk beds and 1 trunk bed in the living room are available for a stay in the heart of nature, at €149 per night, and €219for two nights on weekends!

Mini-Golf: an 18-hole mini-golf course awaits you, and the good news is that it's available during the summer months, so make the most of it and take a break from swimming!

Pony Club: the center has 8 ponies of all sizes, trained to meet the needs of the youngest riders. Hand-rides are available for children aged 3 and over (€14 for 45 minutes and €7 for 15 minutes), and children can also take advantage of hourly lessons!
Indoor surfing (from €15, from age 4), one-hour session supervised by an instructor.
Climbing: bouldering accessible all year round in the natural sector of the Bleau site. From €7.50 per person.
Fun Wall: for budding climbers, particularly fun routes, from €11.50 for one hour.
Astronomy evenings: "Head in the stars" evenings, from 9pm to 11pm, €18 per person. Dates to come.
