With the Panamées, the Paris Hiking Committee invites the public to explore the city's historic streets while enriching their knowledge. On February 19, 2026, follow in the footsteps of the renowned writer Anatole France.

Put on some comfortable shoes, prepare for any weather, and let’s go! Starting at Porte Dauphine at 7 p.m., join us for a three-hour urban hike on Thursday, February 19, 2026! Open to all fitness levels—including those who are less active—the Panamées invite you to explore different themes through a leisurely walk, right within the city limits—just a little outside the usual trails.

This month, the Departmental Walkers' Committee invites you to follow in the footsteps of writer Anatole France on an engaging 7.5 km trail. A renowned literary figure in his day and winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1921, he was deeply involved in public life. Today, hundreds of streets and avenues bear his name, and even a metro station is named after him! The walk is expected to conclude around 10 p.m. at Place de l'Institut.

The Panamées are cultural hikes that have been taking place on the third Thursday of every month since 2004. The three-hour hikes are open to all, as long as you wear comfortable shoes.
