In the Yvelines département, there's of course (the inevitable) Château de Versailles, but there are also some lesser-known nuggets of greenery, such as the Jardin des Aubépines in Auffargis. Spanning almost 3 hectares, this remarkable garden boasts an incredible variety of plants, flowers and shrubs, as well as ponds, streams and waterfalls that create a timeless atmosphere.
Curious visitors can stroll along the garden's winding paths, discover the various themed gardens or view the works of art scattered throughout the garden. The five senses at the Jardin des Aubépines
The five senses are all called upon at the Jardin des Aubépines, with the colors of the flowers, the sound of the water in the stream and the croaking of the frogs, the scent of the roses and other flowers and the touch of soft, fluffy or rough plants like the Shichuan pepper tree and finally the taste reserved for the vegetable garden.
