At a press conference held this Friday, April 12, 2024, Disneyland Paris reveals more about the new features expected for the new lake area, Adventure Bay. Good news for Rapunzel fans: a new attraction is about to plunge us into the famous lantern scene. We tell you all about it!

There's news from Disneyland Paris! This Friday, April 12, at a press conference, the world-famous theme park gave us an update on the progress of the new attractions it is planning. In the Walt Disney Studios park(which will change its name to Disney Adventure World, editor's note), the lake area is taking shape, and we're learning more about what's in store.

This current extension plunges us into the heart of more recent Disney films. Echoing Sleeping Beauty's castle in the first park, the Snow Queen 's castle is to be found in an area inviting visitors to plunge into the heart ofArendelle... But that's not all: a new attraction will also take us to the heart of another fairy tale, this time that of Rapunzel.

The Disneyland Paris teams have now revealed more about the future arrival of the attraction inspired by the 2010 film. It will take us to the heart of one of the film's most cult scenes, the Lantern Festival, during which thousands of lights fly into the sky and are reflected in the lake from which the subjects of the Kingdom of Corona release them in tribute to the departed princess.

The ride, designed by Italian manufacturer Zamperla, is reminiscent of the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups attraction fromAlice in Wonderland at Disneyland. At the heart of this fairytale scene, visitors find themselves aboard boats, immersed in the lanterns. This ride should be waiting for us next to the Rapunzel Garden, which serves as a transition to the future artificial lake that makes up Adventure Bay. On Friday April 12, 2024, Disneyland Paris announced the name of this future attraction: Tangled Spin.

All we can do now is wait for it to open... And in the meantime, we're getting back into Mad Hatter's Tea Cups or rewatching Rapunzel on Disney+. Ready for the Lantern Festival?
