At a press conference on Friday April 12, 2024, Disneyland Paris announced a name change for Walt Disney Studios. The change will take effect with the opening of the Snow Queen area, and is part of the park's evolution, with the restructuring of Studio 1 and the extension currently under construction.

Say goodbye to Walt Disney Studios... So, no, don't panic, the Parisian theme park isn't closing its doors, just changing its name! At least, that's what Disneyland Paris announced at a press conference on Friday, April 12, 2024, as part of the destination's 32nd anniversary. The press conference provided a number of pleasant surprises, including details of the restaurant overlooking the lake and the lake area, but above all the name change, which came as a bit of a surprise to everyone.

So, what's with the new name? Bye bye Walt Disney Studios, say hello to Disney Adventure World! The name change is in line with the ongoing work to change the park's identity. The firm with the big ears has been working on this identity for years, through the various projects announced and carried out to date around flagship franchises, from thepark extension announced by Bob Iger in 2018 at the Élysée Palace in the company of President Macron (and including Avengers Campus, open since 2022) to the World of Pixar zone, restructuring part of the studio entrance.

"To continue this transformation, allowing us to reimagine more than 90% of Walt Disney Studios Park since it opened in 2002, we're delighted to unveil a new creative vision that will give our second park a whole new look. Visitors will enjoy an unprecedented experience that celebrates the magic and emotion of our greatest franchises by immersing them in new, larger-than-life worlds. This creative evolution has led us to rename the park, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Disneyland Paris," explained Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris. She continued:"This name change will apply from the opening of the Snow Queen-inspired land, World of Frozen, representing a symbolic renewal for this exciting new era".

It's a change we're going to have to get used to, and which will take effect when the Snow Queen zone opens... In the meantime, we're taking advantage of the weekend and the vacations to visit the studios before the official name change. Ready for some family fun?
