Disneyland Paris: update on Disney World Adventure's Là-Haut attraction

Published by Laurent de Sortiraparis · Updated on July 21, 2025 at 03:47 p.m.
On April 11, 2025, Disneyland Paris unveiled the imminent arrival of a brand-new attraction at Walt Disney Studios, the future Disney Adventure World. A "flying chair" type attraction on the theme of Là-Haut, which will open after the opening of the entire zone, just opposite Tangled Spin. And we learned a lot more after the building permit was published... We give you the lowdown!

An announcement we didn't see coming! At a round-table discussion organized by Disneyland Paris (to which we were invited), Michel Den Dulk, Vice President and Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, announced on April 11, 2025, the imminent arrival of a new "flying chair/flying carousel" attraction based on the Pixar Studios feature film Là-Haut. The attraction is to be located in the extension to Walt Disney Studios, the future Disney Adventure World.

Take to the skies like Carl Fredricksen on this zany ride!

This new ride - not a first in a Disney park, since Disney California Adventure, the Studios' American equivalent, already hosts this type of attraction, the Silly Symphony Swings - will be located just opposite the Rapunzel Tangled Spin attraction, on Adventure Way. Construction work is scheduled to begin by the end of 2025, with an opening date as yet unknown, but well after the opening of the entire area, as explained by an imagineer on the construction site we visited.

An attraction combining Art Deco and Pixar design at Disneyland Paris

In terms of theming, expect a decor more in keeping with the area's Art Deco theme, with touches reminiscent of the Pixar animated film, if the first concept art unveiled during our visit is anything to go by. A themed garden surrounding the attraction is also planned, based on the Pixar feature film. An attraction where visitors"will be able to twirl through the air aboard a flying carousel, offering a panoramic view of the park's magnificent surroundings from above", also explains Michel Den Dulk.

New information from the building permit!

On July 18, 2025, it was the turn of the freshly-published building permit to reveal a few details about the attraction. As our DLP Works colleagues explain, the attraction will have a footprint of 793m2, its queue will cover 310m2 and the attraction's circular platform will measure 20m in diameter and include 64 seats. Estimated hourly throughput is approximately 950 people per hour.

It's a great opportunity to come and, like Carl Fredricksen and Russel, fly away to other climes! In the meantime, we'll be discovering Advendture Way and the rest of the expansion at Disneyland Paris!
