At Disneyland Paris, the magic of Frozen extends beyond the rides and into the dining experience with Nordic Crowns Tavern. Located in the World of Frozen area, it’s set to be part of the upcoming Disney Adventure World, which is scheduled to open on March 29, 2026. Designed as a quick-service restaurant with 250 seats, the venue invites guests into a setting inspired by Arendelle, with a menu centered around flavors from Scandinavia.
Aimed at families seeking an immersive experience, this restaurant offers a taste of the enchanting kingdom of Elsa, with its distinctive decor inspired by the traditional architecture seen in the two animated films (and their upcoming sequels). Designed as a tribute to local history and the royal family, the venue is also adorned with paintings and objects that evoke the world of Frozen.
On the menu, the establishment is focusing on customizable dining inspired by Nordic flavors. Visitors will be able to compose their own plate from 16 possible combinations: a base of their choice (mashed potatoes or quinoa, for example), protein such as grilled salmon or Nordic meatballs, seasonal vegetables such as carrots or peas, and finally two sauces—a tangy cranberry version or a milder dill version.
The sweet offerings will be just as varied, with frozen desserts including blue sorbet, vanilla ice cream with customizable toppings, a snowflake-shaped dessert, and Nordic pastries. The restaurant also offers gluten-free and vegan options.
Our Review of Nordic Crowns Tavern at World of Frozen:
We had the chance to try this restaurant ahead of its official opening to visitors. Walking in, you're transported into a cozy Scandinavian-style tavern, all wooden furnishings and walls adorned with portraits of Arendelle’s royalty, among other decorations, with shelves displaying various knick-knacks. The entrance area guides you to place your order at self-service kiosks—Disney is leaning toward this “fast-food” style format—pay, and then pick up your meal from the designated area indicated on your ticket (there are six in total).
The menu offers three options: two are identical with one being slightly more expensive because it features salmon. The first at €24 includes a main course (the signature salmon with mustard and dill sauce, served with either mashed potatoes or quinoa and vegetable medley), a dessert, and a drink. The second, costing €22, also includes a main (chicken meatballs with dried cranberry sauce or vegetarian balls with onions and mushroom sauce, served with mashed potatoes or quinoa and vegetables), a dessert, and a drink. There's also a kids' menu at €14. Additionally, a salad menu is available for €15, though it doesn’t include dessert.
We opted for the vegetarian balls with quinoa, and the salmon with mashed potatoes—two distinct options but both quite balanced, offering a good portion of protein, vegetables, and carbs. It’s a welcome change from burgers, too. For dessert, we recommend the Flocon du Palais—a snowy-inspired treat with shortbread, white chocolate mousse, and a red fruit compote.
Our Recommendations:
Access is straightforward, all on the ground floor—which makes it accessible for visitors with reduced mobility. The ordering kiosks are quick to use, but the wait for your tray might be longer depending on how busy it is. During our visit, with just a small group, the wait was manageable, but be prepared for longer waits when more guests are present. This system is also used at the Hollywood Garden Restaurant in World Premiere. So, expect some delay if it’s crowded, but overall, the process remains relatively fast.
We also recommend opting for a set menu—like the salmon, which costs around €20 à la carte—since it offers better value. The tableware is all plastic, which might seem unusual, but it’s chosen for sustainability reasons, complying with French regulations.
All we have to do now is wait for this area to open, which is expected in the spring. And once it's open, for a 100% Snow Queen weekend, head to the Disneyland Hotel to live like you're in Arendelle in the suite inspired by the cartoon. So, are you ready to travel to Arendelle, friends?
