From January 23 to 26, 2025, the Nuits de la lecture (Reading Nights ) return to the capital, to the delight of literature lovers! Numerous evenings await you, with free events in Parisian monuments, bookshops and libraries, all dedicated to the love of reading. To round off this celebration, the"Accent vers le haut" association is organizing a reading party, a rendezvous imported from New York, on January 26, in the heart of Le Poinçon, a converted former railway station dating from 1867!
What's the concept behind a reading party? All you have to do is come along with one of your books (either one you're reading or one you'd like to start reading), read a little during the evening and share your impressions with your bookish neighbors. It's a collective experience, with a little music and a drink in this unique venue. You'll meet other avid readers, chat about your favorites, and leave with a whole host of recommendations!
The program also includes a book drive for Bibliothèques Sans Frontières, to give your books a new lease of life, and a solidarity tombola, with lots of prizes to be won and profits donated to support reading, culture and social initiatives. There's only one thing left to do: bring your books!
