Whether you're more Harlequin, Ninja Turtle, or Teddy Riner lookalike, it doesn't matter: at carnival time, you can be whoever you want. In the Seine-et-Marne department, residents of all ages are gearing up for April 11th to show off their best costumes at the city's grand carnival. This year’s theme, the Four Elements, sets the tone for a lively musical and dance parade through the streets, with plenty of activities lined up throughout the afternoon. Of course, everyone is encouraged to come dressed up, painted, or accessorized in their most creative outfits for the occasion!

What to Expect from the Chelles 2026 Carnival:

• The parade kicks off at 3 p.m. from Avenue du Maréchal Foch, in front of Jules Ferry School
• A lively procession through the city center featuring themed floats, live music, and residents dressed in costumes, all creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere
• The parade concludes at the Esplanade de la Légion d'honneur (located between the Henri-Bianco Gymnasium and the Art Center Les Églises), where there will be musical performances, dance acts, and food stalls (some paid).
