Luzarches Carnival (95) 2026: Colorful Mexican-style costume parade and a fiery Carnival figure

Admittedly, some traditions can seem a bit odd... But as long as everyone’s having fun, we keep going! In spring, to celebrate the return of sunnier days, many towns across France host their carnival. A lively parade in colorful costumes that winds its way through the streets, bringing together children and adults in a joyful, festive atmosphere.

The town of Luzarches, located in the Val d'Oise department, is no exception. Join the lively carnival parade and enjoy this festive event open to everyone on Friday, March 27, 2026.

This year, the carnival kicks off from various preschools and elementary schools: the parades wind through the city streets in the afternoon before gathering at Lavigne Park.

For this big festive and family-oriented event, you can expect not only children and adults in costumes but also drum performances and capoeira demonstrations. There will also be a face painting booth. Kids are set to surprise everyone with a special performance created just for the occasion. And of course, no celebration would be complete without the traditional lighting of the Carnival Snowman, a classic bonfire that’s a must-see.
